SECTION 963 — PAVEMENT MARKING REMOVAL

963.1 DESCRIPTION — This work is the removal of pavement markings and legends.


963.3 CONSTRUCTION — Remove markings in an acceptable manner. Submit and obtain acceptance for the method to be used, prior to commencement of work. Removal of existing pavement markings by painting over with black paint is not an acceptable method. Remove by methods that will cause the least damage to pavement structure or pavement surface. Satisfactorily repair any pavement or surface damage caused by the removal methods.
