 | Welcome to PennDOT’s Bradford County Maintenance District homepage. We are located in the heart of the Endless Mountains in northcentral Pennsylvania. Our organization is responsible for the maintenance of 903 miles of highways and 516 bridges. We employ 133 full time workers and 12 temporary equipment operators to assist in winter operations.
Our main office is located on Route 6 in Towanda Borough. We also have satellite offices in the areas of Allis Hollow, Canton, Milan, New Albany, Troy and Wyalusing.
We provide year-round maintenance of roadways and bridges to motorists. We also help fund construction projects on state roads within Bradford County.
Our dedicated staff of employees consists of 89 equipment operators, 12 foremen, 11 mechanics and equipment repairmen, 5 building and bridge repairmen, and 14 clerks and managers. In winter we employ 12 temporary operators to assist in snow and ice removal. During the summer, our crews are supplemented by approximately 16 young men and women who will be attending college in the fall.
