Fort Duquesne Bridge Inspection Saturday and Sunday in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA

PennDOT is announcing inspection activities on the lower deck of the Fort Duquesne Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Saturday and Sunday, July 12-13, weather permitting.

Single lane closures will occur from 6 a.m. to noon each day on the bridge in the following locations:

Saturday, July 12
• Single lane closure of southbound I-279 at the approach to the bridge
• Left lane closure on the bridge

Sunday, July 13
• Single lane closures on southbound Route 65 and southbound I-279 at the approaches to the bridge
• Center lane closures on the bridge

Crews from SAI Consulting Engineers will conduct routine bridge inspection activities.

Motorists are advised to use caution and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
