| Route 88 Improvements Begin June 20 in South Hills |

PennDOT District 11 is announcing work to improve Route 88 (Library Road) in South Park Township and Bethel Park Borough, Allegheny County, will begin on Wednesday, June 20 weather permitting.
Crews will be upgrading drainage, milling and paving, and performing base repairs on about 3.6 miles of Route 88 from Washington County to the intersection of South Park/Baptist Road (Route 3009). Traffic will be restricted to a single, 11-foot wide lane alternating use in work areas weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Weekend work and restrictions will also occur as needed from 6 p.m. on Fridays through 6 a.m. on Mondays. Work will conclude in late August.
The project is included in a $2.9 million contract with A. Folino Construction of Oakmont, PA for improvements on several roadways in Allegheny County.
