|Route 88 Improvements Begin June 20 in South Hills|
|PennDOT District 11 is announcing work to improve Route 88 (Library Road) in South Park Township and Bethel Park Borough, Allegheny County, will begin on Wednesday, June 20 weather permitting.|
Crews will be upgrading drainage, milling and paving, and performing base repairs on about 3.6 miles of Route 88 from Washington County to the intersection of South Park/Baptist Road (Route 3009). Traffic will be restricted to a single, 11-foot wide lane alternating use in work areas weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Weekend work and restrictions will also occur as needed from 6 p.m. on Fridays through 6 a.m. on Mondays. Work will conclude in late August.
The project is included in a $2.9 million contract with A. Folino Construction of Oakmont, PA for improvements on several roadways in Allegheny County.
