PennDOT District 11 is announcing work to improve Banksville Road (Route 19) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur this weekend, June 15-18 weather permitting.
Single lane traffic will occur from 8 p.m. on Friday through 6 a.m. on Monday on Banksville Road between the Parkway West (I-376) and Carnahan Road/Wenzel Avenue. Crews will be milling and paving.
Motorists are advised to use caution and changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area. Expect delays and allow extra time.
The $4.7 million project includes milling and resurfacing, culvert improvements, drainage, guiderail, curbing, and traffic signal and signage upgrades on 2.4 miles of Banksville Road from the Parkway West to McFarland Road in the City of Pittsburgh, Dormont Borough and Mt. Lebanon Township. Overall work will conclude in December. The prime contractor is the Lane Construction Company of Pittsburgh, PA.
