Boulevard of the Allies Bridge Cleaning and Inspection Activities Begin Monday in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA

PennDOT District 11 is announcing the cleaning and inspection of the Boulevard of the Allies Bridge (Route 2208) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will begin on Monday, July 14, weather permitting.

Work will occur on the structure that carries the Boulevard of the Allies over Ross Street, Second Avenue, and the Port Authority Light Rail Tracks.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane on the Boulevard of the Allies and Second Avenue between Grant Street and the 10th Street Bridge as needed, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, July 25. One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times.

Motorists are advised to use caution, slow down, and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area. Log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major roadways before traveling.
