Project Description :
| This project is for retrofitting existing barrier and deck repair of the Saltsburg Bridge which carries SR 286 (Washington Street) over the Kiskiminetas River in Saltsburg Borough, Indiana County. The 395’ long bridge was originally constructed in 1985 and carries an average daily traffic of 7,239 vehicles. Temporary traffic signals will be used to maintain one lane of traffic across the bridge during construction. See the Schedule and Restrictions link for current project information. Motorists are advised to anticipate traffic delays and be prepared to stop. Motorists are also asked to turn on headlights, slow down, and exercise caution when traveling through work zones. As the need applies, flag crews will direct traffic while work is being performed. The anticipated completion date is 06/25/2010. |
