Project Description :
| This project is for the preventive maintenance and highway restoration of SR 228 (Mars West Road) located in Adams Township, Butler County. Last milled and repaved in 2009 with 9.5mm superpavement, this 1.33 mile stretch of SR 228 (Mars West Road) sees an average traffic of approximately 19,211 vehicles daily. The active work area for this project spans from approximately 0.16 miles west of the SR 228 (Mars West Road)/SR 3017 (Crider Road) intersection to approximately the SR 228 (Mars West Road)/SR 3019 (Warrendale Road) intersection. |

| Work to be performed includes: milling of the existing bituminous surface, overlaying with new bituminous courses, installation of subsurface drain outlets, installation of pavement base drains, application of bituminous tack and prime coats, installation of new guide rails, upgrading existing guide rails, installation of centerline and shoulder rumble strips, and other related miscellaneous construction. |

| Single lane through the construction site between the hours of 6pm through 6am Monday through Friday. Work also permitted from 9am to 3pm monday through Friday. Hours are not restricted Saturday or Sunday but paving is prohibited on those days. |

| Motorists are advised to anticipate traffic delays and be prepared to stop. Motorists are also asked to turn on headlights, slow down, and exercise caution when traveling through work zones. As the need applies, flag crews will direct traffic while work is being performed. |
