Project Description :
| This is AN ECONOMIC RECOVERY PROJECT for Bridge deck replacement on two structures carrying West Park Drive (T-890) over I- 79 in Worth and Muddy Creek Townships. The first bridge is located just north of Cornelius Rd and south of the Zion Church Road (T-571) intersections in Worth Township. Work on this bridge will commence in the fall and has an anticipated completion Spring 2010. The bridge will be closed during construction with a “purple” detour route being posted. The second bridge is located just north of Williams Rd and south of the Porter Road (T-661) intersections in Muddy Creek Township. Work on this bridge will commence in the spring of 2010 and has an anticipated completion date of 9/30/2010. The bridge will be closed during construction with a “orange” detour route being posted. Traffic on I-79 will be effected during the construction. Phase I will close the right shoulder of I-79 while maintaining two lanes of traffic. Phase II will close the left shoulder of I-79 while maintaining two lanes of traffic. Phase III will close the right lane, reducing traffic to one lane on I-79. Phase IV will close the left lane, reducing traffic to one lane on I-79. See the Schedule and Restrictions and Detour Information links for current project information. Motorists are advised to anticipate traffic delays and be prepared to stop. Motorists are also asked to turn on headlights, slow down, and exercise caution when traveling through work zones. As the need applies, flag crews will direct traffic while work is being performed. |
