Project Description :
This project is for the rehabilitation of Cadogan Bridge which carries SR 3128 (Ford City Road) over a tributary of the Allegheny River in Cadogan Township, ¼ mile south of the village of Cadogan in Armstrong County. The four span 375’ foot bridge was originally constructed in 1959 and carries an average daily traffic of 1,350 vehicles.

Work to be performed includes: rehabilitation including deck replacement, minor approach work and other miscellaneous construction.

A temporary traffic signal will be used to maintain one lanes of vehicular traffic through the work zone. See the Schedule and Restrictions link for current project information. Major construction is expected to be completed by 11/17/2010, however bridge painting will occur in the spring of 2011.

Motorists are advised to anticipate traffic delays and be prepared to stop. Motorists are also asked to turn on headlights, slow down, and exercise caution when traveling through work zones. As the need applies, flag crews will direct traffic while work is being performed.
