The Vehicle and Traffic Law Division consists of attorneys who serve the Safety Administration Deputate and several areas of the Highway Administration Deputate, including the Bureau of Highway Safety and Traffic Engineering. In addition to providing litigation services and advice to the above-mentioned areas of the Department, attorneys in this Division also serve as a resource for District Attorneys and police officers throughout the Commonwealth, and assist District Attorneys in the prosecution of traffic offenses. Attorneys represent the Bureau of Driver Licensing and the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Courts of Common Pleas in all 67 counties of the Commonwealth, and on appeal to the Commonwealth Court and Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. |
