Chief Counsel - Real Property Division

The Real Property Division consists of attorneys who are expert in the field of eminent domain and real property law and who give advice and represent the Department in all levels of the state court system.  Attorneys in this Division also handle utility matters, including grade crossing cases before the Public Utility Commission and on appeal and occupancy of highway right of way by trails.  They also render advice and handle litigation involving driveway, utility, billboard and junkyard permits, and land use matters.  Attorneys in this Division also draft and process deeds and agreements and assist in drafting legislation and regulations in real property matters.
