Chief Counsel - General Law Division

The
General Law Division has attorneys who draft legislation and regulations, handle personnel and civil rights, environmental, tort liaison and defense (when delegated by the Office of the Attorney General) and highway safety matters.  This Division also renders advice and handles litigation involving traffic engineering and maintenance matters, and consists of attorneys and investigators who are responsible for matters in contract and procurement, aviation and airports, mass transit and rail matters, as well as the investigation of applicants seeking certification as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises for purposes of the Department’s Federal Aid DBE Program.
