traffic engineering, highway design, planning, programming, and air quality analysis.
- PennDOT has an established program for collecting traffic
data. Traffic data is collected at approximately 30,000 sites statewide.
The sites are on various collection cycles: annually, every three or five
years, depending on priority of the highway system. 6,000 traffic counts
are taken each year at selected locations.
- Go to the Traffic Information Page and select iTMS (Internet Traffic Monitoring System. ITMS has seven different search types to choose from to help your search. The information in iTMS is updated weekly. You can also go to the Traffic Volume Map Page and choose the appropriate county. You may then view the map and zoom in.

server availability these files can take time to download. If you have
difficulty please email our BPR WebMaster.

Internet Explorer options may not be set correctly that is why you are
looking at a cached version. To correct this please check your Internet options.
- First you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 or

State Route numbers. You may also obtain more information on the legend
located on the map.

represent Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT). AADT is the typical daily
traffic on a road segment for all the days in a week, over a one-year
period. You may also obtain more information on the legend located on the
