The Environmental Quality Assurance Division spearheads environmental and cultural resource stewardship for the Department of Transportation through a careful balance of public transportation needs with natural,cultral and historic resource conservation. |
Mission
We develop long-range environmental and cultural resources policy and procedural guidance for the Department of Transportation leading to consistent and predictable best practices in environmental stewardship for transportation projects.We also provide near-term environmental and cultural resources expertise to the Department of Transportation through the various Deputates during the planning, design, construction, maintenance and daily operation of transportation projects.
