Welcome to the Bureau of Project Delivery
The Bureau of Project Delivery complement consists of 187 engineering, technical, environmental and administrative positions. This complement includes 51 Registered Professional Engineers, one Registered Professional Land Surveyor, seven Certified Real Estate Appraisers; one Surveyor-in-Training; two Professionanl Geologists; and three Certified Photogrammetrists.
The Bureau consists of the Bridge Design and Technology Division (BDTD) , Highway Delivery Division (HDD) and Innovation and Support Services Division (ISSD). Each Division is structured according to its functional area to facilitate alignment with our partners in the PennDOT District Offices.
Headquartered in Harrisburg, it is one of four bureaus under the Highway Administration Deputate.
The Bureau is charged with the delivery of highway and bridge projects to maintain Pennsylvania's highway infrastructure. The Bureau also has the responsibility for development of bridge and highway design criteria and policy.
The Bureau of Project Delivery is a major partner with the eleven Engineering Districts, other Central Office Bureaus our partners and suppliers, and our customers in the highway and bridge project delivery process. As such , the Bureau performs a variety of additional functions in support of the Department's overall Mission and Vision. Some of which include design community training and computer support services for design applications. |
