Regional Traffic Management Center Supervisors (10851) perform supervisory work in monitoring, evaluating and coordinating communications for real-time traffic conditions in a twenty-four hour Department of Transportation Regional Traffic Management Center, directing the Center’s operation. They train Regional Traffic Management Center Operators and oversee the Center’s quality assurance.

Candidates must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the Air Brake Restriction (L) lifted. You will perform a variety of analytical, preventative maintenance, and repair duties for a fleet of construction equipment, trucks, automobiles, and hand tools. The equipment is powered by gasoline or diesel engines.

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have three years of journey level mechanical experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment, which includes one year of experience in the diagnosis and repair of diesel vehicles or equipment. Candidates must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class 1 Inspection Mechanic Certification and a valid Pennsylvania Class B Commercial Driver’s License for the types of vehicles being inspected. Work involves reviewing appraisals of all types of real estate prepared by staff or fee appraisers, providing guidance for resolving unusual appraisal situations, and preparing appraisal review reports that approve, disapprove, or recommend modifications to the appraisal report. Work also includes verifying compliance with appraisal standards, laws and requirements, and that the estimate of just compensation is acceptable.

Chief Real Estate Appraisers perform advanced professional work and supervise the securing of legal rights-of-way or acquiring real estate for other public purposes. Work involves supervising a group of certified appraisers performing all types of real estate appraisals of varying complexities. Work also involves reviewing and approving real estate appraisals and supervising the resolution of difficult appraisal problems to ensure the most effective and best procedural methods are utilized.
