 | The Bureau evaluates proposed development on- and nearby-public airports to assess its impact upon navigable airspace and potential compatibility conflicts with flight operations.
Pennsylvania law requires: A person who proposes to erect a new structure, to add to an existing structure or to erect or maintain an object, natural or manmade, in close proximity to a public airport, as defined in 14 CFR ยง 77.9 (Construction or alteration Requiring Notice), shall first obtain approval from the Bureau of Aviation by submitting a written notice (PA Form AV-57) to the Bureau at least 30 days prior to commencement thereof. |
