Municipalities PC Specifications

Beginning in January 2005, Pennsylvania municipalities were allowed to spend up to $1,000 per year of their annual Liquid Fuels allocation for the purchase of computer hardware, software, and related training. The main reasons for this much needed legislative allowance are as follows:
  • to assist Pennsylvania’s local governments in their management of local resources,
  • to allow for the implementation of computerized accounting systems,
  • to allow for the use of computerized asset / infrastructure management systems, and,
  • for the electronic filing of liquid fuels and other Commonwealth required reporting.

The future is in on-line reporting and submission. We in the Bureau of Municipal Services already have a web based MS-965 submission process which is gaining popularity Statewide (see the dotGrants WEBSITE). Eventually, and in some instances this is already the case, the web will be the only place you will be able to get copies of publications and to submit required reports.
