The DBE/Title VI Division strives to maintain a level playing field within PennDOT and the Federal and State Highway Projects it supports. The DBE Section has a commitment to guaranteeing DBEs the opportunity to participate in contracts and subcontracts. It also strives to increase minority, woman, and disadvantaged male participation within the construction industry . The Title VI Section ensures that the values of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 are supported . Title VI also investigates accusations of illegal discrimination against individuals attempting to particpate in PennDOT programs, activities, and services. Overall the Division is attempting to promote the values of PennDOT as a whole. |
