National ITS Architecture

City of Pittsburgh

The City of Pittsburgh is a large metropolitan city, serving as the primary source and destination of most travel within the Region.  Transportation departments operating ITS include the Engineering and Construction Department (Bureau of Engineering’s Division of Traffic), Department of Public Safety (bureaus of police, fire, EMS, and emergency management), and the Parking Authority.
