Elements refer to organizational entities
that operate in the transportation environment and are stakeholders in the
effort. Elements also include planning agencies that are involved in the
“business” of programming ITS into the mainstream project planning process.
Element descriptions are furnished below to document the groups that operate
in the transportation environment as related to ITS. These elements are
described in terms of their mission and relationship to the Regional ITS
Architecture.
