National ITS Architecture

Regional Description

This Region, in the south central part of the state, is comprised of 8 counties:

• Adams

• Cumberland

• Dauphin

• Franklin

• Lancaster

• Lebanon

• Perry

• York

The capital of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, is located in this Region.  As the Capital Region, District 8 contains the headquarters for PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC).
