locations serving as Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP’s) for answering
and managing 911 calls. Include systems and personnel that coordinate
incident dispatch with various emergency response agencies, as well as
dispatch request from responders in the field. Municipal public safety
vehicles and other specialty response vehicles, such as wreckers,
ambulances, and local fire, police and EMS, and HAZMAT teams are dispatched
by the 911 centers.
