Regional Description
This Region,
in the south central part of the state, is comprised of six counties:

Bedford
-
Blair
-
Cambria
-
Fulton
-
Huntingdon
-
Somerset
Altoona and
Johnstown represent the two largest population centers in the Region and
reside in Blair and Cambria Counties respectively. Fulton, Huntingdon, and
Somerset are considered rural counties and along with Bedford County
comprise a Rural Planning Organization (RPO). Blair County and Cambria
County are associated with separate Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO).
