Adjacent State Transportation Offices
Offices and Transportation Management Centers operated by transportation agencies in New York and New Jersey, the states adjacent to District 4-0. Facilities included in this element include the NYSDOT Incident Coordination Center, the NYSDOT Region 9 TMC (currently planned), and TMCs that are to be operated by the New York State Thruway Authority and the New Jersey DOT. This elements provides general coordination regarding adjacent state incidents and traffic conditions that will impact the District 4-0 Region. Includes a variety of systems to operate each jurisdiction’s transportation facilities, including existing/planned surveillance, communications, and system management tools.
